Bog Oak & Damascus Steel Utility Knife
This 5.9” utility knife is hand forged from Damascus steel; two carbon steels folded and twisted over each other to create an organic pattern, which when etched shows the contrast and depth between the steels. The blade is very thin behind the edge for cutting performance. The handle is made from bog oak and stabalised spalted birch with a nickel silver detail.
This blade is made with high carbon steel which, unlike stainless steel, is 'reactive'; this means the blade will develop a patina, changing the appearance of the blade surface as you use it (see T&C's). I prefer to work with high carbon steels over stainless steels due to their incredible edge retention and ease of sharpening at home, but they do require more care.
This blade will rust if left wet. Handwash only
