This chef knife is hand forged from laminated steel - two layers of iron on either side of a high carbon steel core. It's a nice size for a general purpose knife, and ground very thin for cutting performance. I've made the handle from one piece of spalted hornbeam from North London which I've cut to add a dark fiber spacer while keeping the hornbeam grain matched.
