This utility knife is hand forged from my own blend of damascus steel san mai, made of varying layers of mild steel and nickel over a high carbon steel core. I've left a lot of forged texture on the upper part of the blade, and the bevels are smooth. The handle is Cherry wood with a mild steel cap.
Size wise it's a good inbetweener, shallow at the heel like a paring knife but with a longer blade and handle.
Total length: 235mm
Blade length: 120mm
Depth at heel: 35mm
Note: this blade is made with carbon steel which, unlike stainless steel, is 'reactive'; this means the blade will develop a patina and will change the appearance of the blade surface over time and can rust if not properly cared for.
